The singer and entrepreneur is known to shock her fans with the best songs and designs and the recent collaboration was no different. The highly anticipated Savage X Fenty show livens up the stage of Barclays Center, New York, the collection that celebrates inclusivity and diversity in fashion is the first-ever luxury lingerie show that will not only live-stream on Amazon prime video on 20th September but also retail on it. On one hand, when brands like Victoria’s Secret have been often criticised for its representation of the archaic female stereotype, Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty show acted as a happy sigh of relief. There were no stick-thin models with perfect bodies, in fact, there were models with different body frames, all celebrated for their unique structure and personality. The theatrical-like show had Rihanna on the centre stage, beautifully chaperoning the young models that represented body positivity. “Savage X is about respect. Do what you do. Be unapologetically you. Embrace individuality,” she explained.
