Spaces

Visit these elite clubs for a luxurious experience in London

Renowned for its meet and greet culture, London is home to some of the finest clubs in the world. Places where London’s affluent love to talk business, sample exquisite dishes, and enjoy the privileges of elitism are few and the capital’s known faces are frequently spotted here enjoying their time with loved ones. Stalwarts of status and prestige, it’s a privilege to be able to experience the hospitality of these clubs. So, we have come up with a selection of five finest clubs in the city for a crème de la crème experience.

Annabel's

Welcome to the grandest and the most loved private club in London which boasts of being the playground to ultra-glam, and social attendees. An excellent choice to spend quality time with your peers, the club serves extravagantly curated drinks at the renowned Jungle Bar. With walls lined with pleated pistachio silk and bold animal print furniture, its intimate decor blends perfectly with its exquisite guest list.

The Groucho Club

Recently celebrating thirty years in business, the club never seems to go out of fashion. Ushered in through the bright yellow door of this popular club, one is greeted by a round-the-clock bar and cosy corners that were once occupied by great artists as well as musicians. A hit with the stars of the present times as well, no visit to the club is complete without bumping into your favourite onscreen celebrities! The Groucho serves some of the best dishes in London and beer battered haddock is a must try. Countering popular male culture through a female dominated membership, it is a must visit for a lunch with the ladies!

The Court

Soho became the talk-of-the-town when it opened the doors to its new private members’ club, ‘The Court’. Touted as THE place for an artistic gastronomic experience, there are various compelling reasons that make it worth a try. Beginning with the food, The Court’s cuisine is curated in partnership with Tom Sellers, one of Britain’s youngest ever Michelin-starred chefs and The Lickfold Inn. Be their white bean soup, steak or fries, the taste is impeccable and with award winning mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana preparing your drink for the night, it’s an experience to behold! The interiors are reminiscent of a dark and moody blend of ’20s-style wood, leather and velvet. One should definitely not miss the tinkling of ivories on the house piano that keeps the soul of The Court intact!

Quo Vadis

Once home to communism's most zealous intellectual advocate, Karl Marx, Quo Vadis combines a triumphant Soho restaurant with a private members’ club. Replete with a vintage luxury feel, the interiors are gorgeously lit and furnished with lush carpets and moodily painted walls, ideal for late afternoon conversations with friends. Upstairs, one can enjoy the Dean Street club’s private dining room, the homely ‘snug’ room and two bars which make it a respite from the carnage of a Soho evening.

The Ned

A brainchild of Nick Jones, founder of Soho House Empire, at The Ned, you can expect authentic British food and shabby-chic interiors reminiscent of your favourite Soho House, but with a refined Manhattanite twist. The eight-floor building plays host to eight restaurants resonating global cuisines of which Cecconi’s wins hands down with its Italian offerings. The experience beautifully brings together a 252-room hotel and members' club with fifteen bars, two pools, a spa, a barber shop and a boxing gym such that one could not ask for more in the heart of London’s financial centre. Be it a business discussion, a casual meet-up, a self-pampering or just a cosy romantic day-out, The Ned takes care of it all.
